Gmail IMAP working on Windows Mobile 6!

.
A few months ago Google was kind enough to roll out free IMAP support for their Gmail service. Before that, the only way to get Gmail was via POP. Although that was alright on a desktop client, the default Windows Mobile client struggles with a very irritating problem: you receive e-mails sent from your desktop (or other systems that are not your PDA). So every time I’d send something from my computer, I’d end up receiving it later on my TyTN. Lame.
Enter IMAP: No more receiving email you’ve sent. The other big feature of IMAP (for me) is the ability to sync your Gmail account across multiple systems. So if I read an email on my computer, that same email will be downloaded as ‘read’ on my PDA. IMAP also provides folder syncing, so that you can keep the same folder structure you might have in your desktop Outlook also on your PDA.
There used to be a problem with the default Windows Mobile Messaging program where downloaded HTML-encoded e-mails were downloaded as blank messages. However, their most recent fix has nullified this issue. It works as it should!
Just use their help page to set up your account and you’re good to go!

Hmm sounds interesting. The way my connections are set up might interfere with IMAP (I believe my default GPRS network has some proxies and the default messaging app doesn’t support those, or something like that) but at least it will be worth checking out.
Very Nice Find!!!!!
Thanks!
Thanks! Glad I surf XDA
I have been using this on my 8125 for a couple of months and it was a bit of a hassle that I could not read the html posts. However, it was still a great service. Then, this week, I noticed that the html was working. It is now VERY nice!
