A Little Thing To Consider!
The MacBook Air may be a little thing, but it may be to too small for some of your peripherals. In a post over at EndGadget today, Ryan Block let’s us know that most USB EV-DO modems, will not fit the Air. You’ll have to use another connection method such as a powered hub or a USB extension cable. Oops! Then in another post, He also reveals the lack of performance, that the Air offers.
No one should be surprised, but if you were looking for a speed freak of a laptop, you’re going to want to glaze those lustful eyes over the MacBook Air. While the new hotness has a speedy memory bus, overall its performance is dramatically smushed by its integrated graphics, anaemic 1.6GHz Core 2 Duo processor, and 1.8-inch hard drive. Yes, you can officially call the MacBook Air the slowest machine Apple makes
I hope all of the negatives being observed, early on don’t colour the response to what looks like a great, new approach to UMPC devices from Apple!

I’m not sure what the big deal is add a 2″ usb extender and you are good to go.
More than that, I would hope that with a bluetooth connected (gulp) Windows Mobile device with 3g there are no worries at all. Time will tell.
