Sometimes it’s nice to not have a converged device. I hear my friends complaining all the time about how the built-in Windows Mobile phone features just don’t cut it.

Seems like SBSH got fed up as well. However, they’re a software developer, so they did something about it. PhoneWeaver is designed to provide the features that Bill Gates left out, like a useful Today plugin that allows you to access and control all of your phone’s functions at a tap, and easy-to-use profile support that can automatically change based on time of day or appointments.

The new update, which is free to all previously registered users of PhoneWeaver 1.x, adds more handy features including:

• Counters – Introducing new counter items displaying your pending SMS/MMS, missed calls, voice mail and emails directly on your Today screen! Single click any of the counters to access the corresponding services directly!
• Profile Icons – Assign icons to each of your profiles and view the currently active profile on your Today screen. Using the new Profile Icons support you can easily view which profile is currently active even when using PhoneWeaver Popup-Menu mode alone!
• New Today Layout options – PhoneWeaver 1.2 introduces new Today Plugin layout options allowing you to customize the Today Plugin components and items’ order to your liking! Keep your Today screen designed the way you wanna!
• Advanced Command Line – With this new release, powerful command-line options are now available! Activate different PhoneWeaver options from any device shortcut such as iLauncher shortcuts, hardware buttons and more!
