iPAQ 210 Now Available

HP’s iPAQ 210 ‘Enterprise Handheld’ is now available, after many months worth of delay.  Late as they may be, it’s still nice to see a good-looking ’standalone’ (non-phone) handheld from the guys who used to be the masters of them, before Dell came along.

We all know there’s an ever-shrinking market for traditional PDAs like this, but I have to admit I still always feel a little tempted by a real good-looking one. The specs for the iPAQ 210 are pretty solid, and include:

  • Windows Mobile 6 Classic (PDA),
  • 624 MHz processor
  • 4 inch TFT 480 x 640 touchscreen
  • 128 MB SDRAM, 256 MB Flash ROM
  • 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.0.

I don’t know about the $449 price tag on a PDA though.  That just seems very steep for a non-phone device if you don’t have a very specific ‘enterprise’ sort of purpose for it.  Think I’ll stick with the Axim X51V for now thanks …
