Hrmmm…just did some quick testing.
I found it to be quite slow. ZoomBoard was definitely faster, and PCMK even more so (trust me, I’m not holding PCMK on some golden pedestal. If it gets knocked off, it gets knocked off.)

The biggest issue is it keeps telling me my trial is over even though I still have seven days left! I’d type a couple of words and the SIP would shut off and tell me “trial’s over”

Obviously a bug, but oy.

Pedah,

I tried the CooTek TouchPal SIP, again, last night. I think it is the winner for right now – having bested – for me – the PCM and TenGo.

Does any know how to turn off the sounds (clicks) you hear when using pressing the keys?

Start/ settings/personal/input /resco keyboard/options there are two drop down menus, the first is for sounds, where you can select, “Do Not Play Sound”

Is it me or is this keyboard taking up a lot of space, especially when compared with its competitors? Is is possible to make it more compact, eg by using another skin?

Yes you can use another skin, but currently a smaller skin that still supports finger use isn’t available yet. I’m working on something but it’s the first time I’m using gimp as an image editing program, so it takes a long time, even more because I’m not a graphic artist to begin with :(
So don’t expect anything, it’s probably going to be a project that I’ll abandon :P

The finger friendly version “thumb Keyboard” has to take a lot of screen real estate to be finger compatible, and it works really well with stylus for fast typing. Now I’m thinking I haven’t checked the size of the program file! as well! Try it with your browser as well!
