Contest: PocketWeather 2.0 Giveaway
On one of the sites I visit regularly, there was a post today, asking if, devices like this were a good buy. The original reference is Circa 2003, from BrightHand and it got me going. As most of you would/or know now I’m a standalone PDA diehard. Even though I’ve been tempted, by converged devices lately, as they evolve into something useful, and not overloaded with service provider bloatware, I came across this post today and I just thought. what a lumpy piece of kit.
It’s only five years ago, now we are looking at 5 megapixel cameras on the Nokia N95, with 8 Gb of storage, and a much sleeker design, this baby is like an eye on a potato, you wouldn’t want it sticking out now.
Tell me about your silliest add-on’s of all time, and get yourself a chance to win a copy of PocketWeather. I’ve got two copies of PocketWeather to give away!Charlie’s out of town at the moment so the oompa loompas are revolting, the factory is definitely shut down for the moment. I and my fellow oompa loompas’, (the team here at JAMM) will rate the posts and the winner will be the highest rated post. Entries must be submitted before midnight, Sunday 13th January, CST to qualify.

I’m sure I won’t have the best or even the most interesting.
I have a BT CF, Wifi CF for my Axim X5, and a foldable keyboard.
The keyboard stopped being recognized, and I took it to work and took it apart in the lab, and found a broken wire. I tinkered with it few days trying to get it working again, but it never would connect.
Now, I’m in the process of setting up my Axim to control the playing of music from my PC to our living room speakers. I am going to try using VNC from my Axim to control the player on my PC. All I need to do is get my recent broken router replaced, and I should be set to go.
… I hope someone has something more interesting than this.
