Easy Money For Your Old Gadgets

Would a few extra dollars come in handy after the holidays?  Got any old gadgets laying round the house?  Second Rotation, featured in the clip above from CNET’s ‘Best of The Web’ – offers a painless way to get some decent money for those old gadgets of various kinds – they’ll take cellphones, game consoles, media players, cameras, and more.

The clip shows you how easy and fast it is to get an estimate of what they’ll pay for your item.  Once you’re happy with a price and finish the steps online, you ship your item to them via DHL, for *free* in the continental US, and get paid within 2 weeks.

I got a quick appraisal of an old Cingular 8125 / HTC Wizard, the now ancient older brother of the 8525, with no original CD or manuals, but in pretty good condition – and it is worth $73.  Not bad at all for an item I’ve had laying around aimlessly on a shelf for ages!

Second Rotation’s site also stresses that their operation is helping to give people an incentive to keep these items – many of which contain some of the most toxic and non-biodegradable materials on the planet – out of landfills.  So you can feel a little bit good about yourself for various reasons if you throw some of your old gadgets their way.  I know my 8125 is heading in that direction …
