Sprite Holiday Contest – Day 5

CONTEST DEADLINE: Wednesday Dec. 19 at 5:00pm US CST

Most of you know by now that we really like giveaways and contests here at JAMM.  They’re a lot of fun, and a great way for us to say thanks to all of you for visiting the site.

Well … our good friends at Sprite Software are keen to help us keep the contests flowing more than ever during this holiday season.  So we’re going to be running a Sprite Terminator giveaway contest *every day* all the way through to December 23rd.  Terminator protects your data and allows you to locate and remotely wipe your device if its lost or stolen – check out its product page, or have a look at Lauren’s excellent review of Terminator and its GPS integration HERE when you have a chance.

Every day from here to 12/23, we’ll have one winner and one copy of Sprite’s excellent Terminator program – and possibly some Sprite Archie winners as well as we go along.  Then on the 24th, we’ll do our monthly Sprite Backup contest again.

For our daily Sprite Terminator contest we’re going to go with a little bit of a Terminator theme, or at least one loosely based around the Terminator movies and all things relating to ‘termination’.

How To Win:

As usual, it’s very easy to enter – but we’re going to have a slightly different approach on the extra credit / entries side of things.  We’ll offer a new extra credit question / topic each day, but the system will remain the same throughout these daily contests. Here’s how it works:

For one entry in the contest, just add a comment to this post.

For extra credit in Today’s contest, just share your favorite ever classic / comical Arnie movie line (in the Terminator series or any of his other films).  We’ll award anywhere between 1-25 extra entries to you depending on how wildly creative and side-splittingly funny we find your responses.

Good luck …

By entering this contest, you authorize Just Another Mobile Monday, and its representatives, to provide your personal information (such as, but not limited to your name and email address) to the sponsors of this contest should you be selected as a winner. Your personal information will not be sold by Just Another Mobile Monday, or otherwise retained for any purpose except that described herein.

My vote goes for:

“F*ck you, A**hole.”

from the first Terminator hotel scene. The line is not that funny, but when judging from the available choices he had on his Terminator display:

1.Yes.
2.No.
3.Go away.
4.Please come back later.
5.F*ck you, A**hole.
6.F*ck you

He arguably chose the most funny one. I think that Arnie had similarly wide vocabulary as his movie character at that time ;) Anyway it was the first time I have heard an offensive answer from a robot :D

“We are not identical twins.” From Twins…

For one reason or another, that line always just made me crack up!

I’m not a fan of the Terminator movies, but a few of his comedies had been pretty funny.

Sprite Archie Beta 3…Available Now…
Sprite Software is releasing the Beta 3 Version of Sprite Archie. Sprite Archie is an archiving utility that allows users to archive the SMS and Phone events of Windows Mobile5 and Windows Mobile 6 Devices. Sprite Archie monitors the traffic of your SMS messages and call history of Windows Mobile Devices. While monitoring your phone traffic Sprite Archie creates reports and send them to an specified e-mail account for archiving purposes.
This Beta 3 version fixes a number of issues found in our Beta 2 and also adds the following:
• New graphical version of the status screen. On a touch screen device tapping the status icons changes the Archive destination (currently Email or None).
• Remove the concept of archiving to Digest. Now when you choose archive to Email you have a choice of when to archive (Immediate or Daily).
• Schedule time can now be set per Event Type (SMS Sent, SMS Received and Call Log)
• Call Log events are now sent in the initial digest on installation (Beta 2 only sent SMS Received and SMS Sent).
