Verizon And Palm, Treo 755p Smartphone!

755psmartphone Palm announce their new 755p Treo, and it looks pretty good to me. This Treo is Palm OS based, and comes with integrated Google maps, email push technology and improved support for Verizon’s EV-Do data network.

For customers interested in using their Treo 755p smartphones as modems with a Verizon Wireless Broadband Access Connect service plan to send and receive data from notebook PCs, the Treo 755p can easily take advantage of the 600 kbps to 1.4 mbps typical download speeds of the Verizon Wireless EV-DO network. The Treo 755p comes with built-in 60 MB of user-available memory and can be enhanced by using the miniSD slot to add separately purchased memory cards of up to 4 GB for storing data, photos, music, and video.

It still supports all of your windows mobile applications like Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Wireless Sync supports Microsoft Exchange and Lotus applications. Have a look at the Press Release, to see exactly what Palm and Verizon are up to! verizonLogo
