eWallet 6 Launches – Adds Web Companion & Merges In Flex Wallet
eWallet 6.0 is out and we are really excited about this one. Not only do we have a ton of great features, we also have two incredible surprises to tell you about!
I don’t blame Ilium for being excited about this one. There is A LOT to be excited about in the brand new version of an already great application!
eWallet has been a blue-chip leader in the field of mobile digital wallet apps for a long time, and needs a very large trophy cabinet to house all its awards.
And the new Version 6.0 looks set to continue and improve on eWallet’s winning ways. A few of us at JAMM have been involved in the beta testing of this version. So I’m already a huge fan of its great new features, as well as the two big surprises … which are: WebIS’s popular Flex Wallet has been ‘merged’ into eWallet, and there is now a web-based app that lets you get to your critical wallet data from any browser! Oh, and it looks great on an iPhone.
Read on for lots more details and a few iPhone screencaps …
On this page I’ve added a couple of quick screencaps, just to give you a little peek at the new web interface for eWallet – it’s looking good already!
Here are just a few of the new features offered by eWallet 6 and some more info on those two big surprises straight from Ilium’s announcement:
- 256-bit AES FIPS Encryption
- SFTP Synchronization
- Flex View grid-style card display
- Attach files to your cards (and encrypt them!)
- Built-in Importer
- Free card backgrounds
- Over 200 new icons for available for download
eWallet + FlexWallet = The Best of the Best!
Ilium Software and WebIS have teamed up to offer our customers the best electronic wallet ever. WebIS is focusing their efforts on their flagship products and Ilium Software is going to t
ake the electronic wallet helm! In eWallet 6.0 we’ve taken the best of FlexWallet and added those features to eWallet (and there are more FlexWallet features on the way!) We’re also providing FlexWallet owners with the full “eWallet Owner” experience, plus an easy migration path from FlexWallet to eWallet. You can get all the details here! (And if you haven’t tried out WebIS’s products, you need to! Check them out here!)
eWallet Web Companion (beta)
With this release we are also debuting the eWallet Web Companion, a web-based application that lets you access your wallet files from your iPhone, Linux, Mac, Blackberry, Symbian phone, PSP, Amazon Kindle, Nintendo Wii…you name it! If it has a web browser and an internet connection you’re ready to go! Read more about it here.
Also, the beta is already underway, so if you’d like to take part head over to this page and fill out an application to take part!
