Microsoft Admitting Windows Mobile Sucks?
Introducing the first article on Windows Mobile I’ve actually read top to bottom and left it with some hope that there MAY actually be some folks at Microsoft who realize that Windows Mobile – More of the Same Edition is not going to keep them on top of the mountain.
This was originally going to be a piece about how Microsoft had no idea what the consumer wanted, where I would explain what I thought Microsoft needed to do to fix it. Oh, I still discuss the flaws, but while talking to the Windows Mobile team, I learned about the next two versions of the mobile OS. Turns out, Microsoft knows exactly what’s wrong with the WM platform, and it knows what to do to fix it. Trust me: there’s hope on the horizon.
Without cutting too much in the article … expect 6.1 to be a slight (very) improvement, but expect much larger improvements including the less suckage of Pocket IE in WM7 and a complete re-write with version 8.
So … sometime around 2010 (just a guess) Windows Mobile might have caught up with the user experience Apple already has. Something to definitely to look forward to. Just don’t hurt your neck trying to look so FAR forward.
Click on for Jason Chen’s write-up. Be sure to hit the comments. Looks like a lot of folks feel the same way.

man, microsoft sucks. EVERYTHING THEY MAKE SUCKS.
i read A LONG TIME AGO back when win me was going on, that microsoft just fills the shelves with garbage software, just because it has the microsoft logo on it, they know people will THINK it is quality. i cant believe how bad bitch, i mean bill gates is playing the american public.
the truth is, if they gave people what they wanted, then they wouldn’t NEED to buy the next version of whatever garbage they are spewing out.
WHY DO I HAVE TO BUY A NEW COMPUTER WHENEVER A NEW VERSION OD WINDOWS COMES OUT?
the new version of whatever o/s is supposed to make the computer i allready have run better, and faster.
if my computer ran like it is supposed to, then i wouldn’t need to buy a new one. people think, well maybr the next version that comes out, when behind our backs they are bloating software, making hidden files, making it run slow on purpose.
we need to just jay f*ck you microsoft, well i do say it, thats why i stopped paying for this garbage, and download whatever i need, or want.

Are you ABSOLUTELY sure your curretn computer can’t run Vista? My, otherwise, pretty much OK (2G RAM, 2GHz CPU, UXGA Flexiew) five-year-old Thiinkpad a31p isn’t supposed to be Vista-compatibel either – still, it runs the OS just great, except for some (for example, BT- and USB-related) quirks.

I run an NC4000 – 1.6Ghz 1.5 GB Ram. Unfortunately there’s no drivers for the graphics card… So standby, hibernate are a non-option. Not such a bonus for a laptop
Interestingly enough – OSX ran better than Vista on this laptop.

I never liked Windows, but I grew up with it. People don’t switch because they are used to Windows. I did switch however, because I missed the freedom..
