FREE – Microsoft Software and More!

Want a free copy of any of the following? Well Microsoft is seeking feedback from users (not to mention trying to unload their unsold copies of Vista to save on warehousing costs [just kidding]).
Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate (32-bit and 64-bit DVD)Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007Microsoft Money Plus PremiumMicrosoft Student with Encarta Premium 2008Microsoft Streets and Trips 2008
Edit: Microsoft has withdrawn the offer yesterday afternoon.

As if that weren’t enough, DivX is offering DivX Pro for free!

Hmmm….Ok, I don’t mind sending info the MS – I always hope that the information, especially about crashes and hangs after running Windows Update will help to improve products. However, after you enter your name and email, it says it is sending an email to continue the registration, which has not come. I tried it from 2 emails, just in case one server was down, but after an half an hour, neither account has gotten the email to continue.

Still no email to continue – I wonder what’s up? Anyone else having this issue?

Unfortunately, yes. I signed up at least 3-4 hours ago and have not received any e-mail.

I just tried it again, and this time the mail came right away…try it again and see if it works for you.

Thanks Deni, just tried it and got the e-mail immediately. Have already gone through and completed the registration “pop quiz”

Did I miss something? Where does it say you’re getting free stuff?

I signed up, ran the feedback software, and am not having any problems. However, I saw nothing on the feedback site or in any of the emails about free software. What gives?
I can only guess that they are doling out free software based on the answers to the survey when you sign up. I’m not to thrilled about this so far

If eligible, as soon as you get your email, you’ll be asked which product you want for free. This is available until supply runs out. I signed up for Vista Ultimate and mom signed up for Encarta 2008 (I didn’t see a clause that said limit one per household).

TJ, there was a clause, but I don’t recall if it was one per household or one per user.
