Well, I have to say, someone must have forgotten their glasses in the design room at Shimura, a Japanese accessory manufacturer. I am sure someone is committing Hari-Kari over this little effort, even as I type this. The Nano is a visual design masterpiece, svelte and glossy, inherently beautiful. Why oh why would you encase it in a clunker, obviously made from recycled drink cans, like this?  Then in my shocked musings a vague thought emerges, is this dressing down meant to be a theft deterrent, something along the lines of the Hide-A-Pod, which encased the iPod inside of another less desirable PMP? Nope, I think not, just some really aesthetically impaired designers. There’s a couple more photos after the link.
