Define Mobile Technology?
What is mobile technology? Do we define it as easily portable devices that enhance our daily lives, in any way shape or form? Well I’m not sure this qualifies but it’s got lot’s of flashy thingies!
I’m a bit of a watch-a-holic and when I saw this my interest was piqued. The PIMP P1 pusher, At ExtremeTech a rather flashy watch (no pun intended) does a whole heap of stuff with a flashing LED screen, and allows you to tell the time as well. I’ve not seen the full range but they’re all the rage in Tokyo.
Back to my original question, how do we define truly mobile technology, what are the criteria a device needs to meet to be deemed as such? An electric can opener could be related to as mobile technology, if you carry it around with you, as could toenail clippers. Where do we draw the line, or are mobile devices only digital? I’d really like people to share their thoughts on this?

“Mobile technology” is that part of technology that involves mobility. You can take it the broad sense and say that it’s the technology that’s concerned with all things that can be mobile, or you can take it the smaller way and say that it’s limited to technology. I guess that just like we’re all interested in PDA/phone/PPC(PE) devices, there might just as well be a couple of blogs about wristwatches. In fact, Yololo from the SBSH forums has one.
I think wristwatches fall inside the category of mobile technology where toenail clips don’t but wristwatches are not regular subjects for sites like this. It’s nice that these kind of posts are included though, since it’s fun to see once in a while!
Okay another 2 minutes spent on telling common sense nonesense.
Back to homework
Have a great weekend all

Mobility could just be having a skateboard and being able to roll down a hill. That would be analogue! As would be Pen and Paper! BUT what if while you are rolling down the hill you pull out your PDA and check your email?

That would be…
… dangerous! You could bump into a tree! Always keep your eyes at the road while skateboarding
