Monday’s the Day.


I’ve been making up words lately, remember "Googleicious", well I’ve got the "Googleruption". None other than the Wall Street Journal has today reported that Monday is the day that the Gphone, or whatever it will be, is to be announced. google-phone-2 It looks like we are going to see Google joining up with phone manufacturers to produce phones based on an OS that they have developed, so all the photochopped images we’ve seen connected to the rumours will all come to nothing. Don’t think they’ll announce it and abracadabra there’ll be Google phones, it will be a process that takes a bit of time. Likely partners seem to be

Taiwan’s HTC is a likely bet, our sources say. Samsung, LG, and SonyEricsson

It seems likely that all of Google’s online apps will be represented in their phone OS, to offer continuity between internet and mobile services. It will be interesting to see how another mobile OS affects the mobile market, and if the Google strategy pays off in terms of competitiveness, compared to Symbian and Windows Mobile devices.
