Mobility and Food, What are the Options?
Ok, strange title I know but what does food have to do with mobile tech? Obviously, the advent of fast food and drive throughs has enabled us to eat on the go, freeing up time for more work. Even the humble toaster has contributed with things like pop tarts, a cooked breakfast in a couple of minutes and then your on your way.
Did you ever think you would hear toaster and schnitzel in the same sentence? A company in Germany, "Toennies" has invented a meat snack, that’s right a schnitzel that you can cook in a toaster.

What The? I have to say it’s ingenious, but, and that’s a big but (excuse the pun) I really can’t picture it or get my head around the idea. They claim it doesn’t burn or drip fat in the toaster, and are even going as far as applying for a patent for for their invention. The pop up schnitzels are slated for release in January 2008 in Germany, rolling out through Europe after that.
The "Toastys" snacks from the meat-producer Toennies, are made of pork coated in breadcrumbs rather than veal like a traditional Wiener schnitzel. Toennies say the pop-up schnitzels can be cooked in any toaster in three minutes.
Does anyone else think this is bizarre?
