Can the Verizon Voyager kill the iPhone?
Well much like Chris (Mobility Site) I personally don’t see it happening. I’ve carried the iPhone around for just short of a month or so and while it isn’t perfect by any means the user friendliness and the web experience are still second to none. James does mention that the Voyager will have a full HTML browser (not just WAP) but unfortunately the video doesn’t demo it so we’ll have to wait for a few reviews to see how well it does and if can compete with the iPhone’s Safari. Since it is on Verizon I won’t consider buying it anyway since Verizon doesn’t use SIM cards and I love to swap devices quite often, but its nice to see some good alternatives to the standard faire starting to appear on the market.
Anyway, James Kendrick from JKOTR has a great video up of the Voyager (and a couple other phones) that you really need to check out. The Voyager appears about 7-8 minutes into the video and the demo lasts a good couple minutes.
