Quick Review: JAVOedge Apple iPhone 3.5mm Stereo Headphone Adapter
Hrm … what’s there to say?
Chirp Chirp. Chirp. Ah, I’ve got it. You have 3 seconds to name the most annoying PHYSICAL feature of the iPhone – GO!
… … …
Time’s up. If you said the headphone jack – You’re right! One of the biggest complaints I have against the iPhone is the recessed headphone jack that Apple put into the device. Now I have to assume there was some kind of logic behind this besides just forcing you to use Apple’s own very uncomfortable headphones. Sure, they work for some people (actually for a lot of people) but I find them to put a lot of pressure on the inside of my ear and I can’t use them for more than about 20 minutes before they have to come out.
Enter the JAVOedge 3.5mm headphone adapter for the iPhone.
This adapter has been wonderful. JAVOedge sent this over to me about a week after I picked up my iPhone and it has been attached to my Sony Fontopia headphones ever since. Like I said above I’m not a big fan of the Apple headphones and since I’ve got a BT headset the mic built into the standard headphones is not a requirement.
Now there’s a couple different styles of adapter out there, so I’m not going to say this is the best or the worst since I’ve not tried them all out yet, but I’ve not had a problem with the adapter and the size. As you can see it is a solid adapter, no flex like some of the other styles so keep that in mind. You won’t want to put it in a position where it could get a lot of sideways pressure since it could damage the headphone port. Also, this is a headphone only adapter – there is NO microphone integration support.
Anyway, I’d love to carry on and on about it … but it is a headphone adapter and there’s not a whole lot you can ramble on about. The JAVOedge iPhone adapter will run you $10.95 and can be purchased directly from JAVOedge.
