Oktoberfest Treats From HTC

Apparently, HTC has a few treats up their sleeve, but they are using some good old fashioned trickery to keep them all a secret until the month of goblins and ghouls.  Yes, of course, I am talking about October.

HTC is planning a press event in the United Kingdom on October 1, with a second one following in Germany on October 2.  Of course, they offered no additional details, so we can only speculate about what may or may not be announced.  I think it will be a Windows Mobile 6 device, with:

  • 640×480 VGA screen
  • one GB of RAM
  • one GB of ROM
  • 100 hour battery
  • Wi-Fi
  • GPS
  • sliding keyboard
  • popcorn maker
  • paint your house for you
  • and it will even discipline your children
  • …and much more

What do you think?  Let us know what announcements you think HTC might be making next week.  Of course, since these press events are in Europe, I can only guess that they are not going to significantly effect those of us in the States.  But, you never know

has an image specifiing a device that might be announced. The Bluetooth Special Interest Group accidentaly seems to have leaked this. It’s the HTC Kii, a WM 6 Standard (none touch screen) device, with Bluetooth 2.0+EDR. At least, that’s what the blog says. :)

I have heard that rumor as well, SPM. Very intriguing. I guess we will have to wait for next week. :)
