Why iPhone might not do well in Canada via SlashGear
(src)
WAIT … their article as about the iPhone. My article is strictly to say HOLY CRAP!!! My fellow Canadians are getting SCREWED.
Look at the price of data at Rogers Wireless. If you sign up for a BlackBerry plan, you can get a single megabyte for $25. Even if you up the ante to $40, you’re still restricted to just 7MB. In order to get 200MB, it’ll cost you $100 a month. And that’s in addition to any voice minutes, voicemail, caller ID, and other options that you may consider.
Wow. And I thought having to $20 was getting taken for a ride… you poor folks are getting getting taken for a ride and dropped off in the middle of nowhere. Here’s hoping that Apple DOES bring the iPhone to Canada and makes one of the companies selling wireless up there bring the prices down to a reasonable level, because right now they’re just stealing your money. I’m still in shock.
