Lakeridge Software – WisBar Adavance 3 On Sale Now!

wa3  Skinners of the world rejoice! Your (I’m assuming) long awaited release of WisBar Advance 3 is here! Gotta be honest here – I’ve not used the WisBar products in a long time simply because there wasn’t one for the smartphone and I didn’t have much need for it on my Treo. I will say though that I’m going to give this new version a try as the one feature that really caught my eye was the lower memory footprint compared to WA2.

New Users plan on paying $9.99, previous owners you get cut a decent break at $6.99. No word on if you bought WA2 in the last 2 months if they’ll give you a $100 store credit. Sorry…

Deets:

  • Compatible with WM2003, WM2003SE, WM5 and WM6 touchscreen devices
  • Uses a smaller memory footprint than WisBar Advance 2
  • Customize the close button, the screen orientation and the SIP on a per-application basis
  • Switch between any application currently running on your device Provides a cascading start menu (as in the screenshot)
  • Tap and hold the OK button to cancel a dialog
  • Add or remove functions to the taskbar
  • and more ….
  • Hit the link below for a trial download or to buy.

I wonder how much smaller a footprint?

    $7 is a lot fried chicken – 10 pieces and 4 rolls at Church’s…

Yea … but think of much less time you’ll spend on the toilet if you don’t eat all the greasy chicken.

Just posted my review on WA3 over here:

Of course something skinnable does use resources and make your device a bit slower; you feel that you’re running Wisbar Advance, but for me performance has defenitely improved compared to the last version of WA2 I used.

Hmm. Now, I love fried chicken. But, I was on the Beta test of this one and it is fantastic. Well worth a measly $7.

Cool! I’ll have to consider the upgrade then. I use WA2 every day. Are the themes of WA2 compatible with WA3?

Certainly! In the WA3 Theme Manager you have a button which opens a browser to select the folder in which you have placed your skin, and there a drop down menu where you can pick if you want to search that folder for WA2 skin files or WA3 skin files. :)
