Take a First View of the New and Improved Sandisk Sansa View
Last year, Sandisk quietly released and then…well, unreleased the Sandisk Sansa View, the latest addition to their popular line portable media players. Unlike the other additions to the Sansa line, this one was designed for video. I was personally sorry to see this go the way of the Dodo Bird, and I am happy to see that Sandisk has not forgotten about it.
Those of you waiting for the new Creative Zen will definitely want to check this one out. The Sansa View comes in two flavors: 16 GB ($199) and 8 GB ($149).
In addition the Sansa View also features:
- the thinnest profile of the Sansa line, at 8.8 mm thick
- a vibrant 2.4″ TFT color screen
- MicroSD and SDHC memory capabilities
You can use the Sansa view to listen to all of your favorite music with gapless playback, FM radio, view crisp video, and jpeg pictures.
So, this makes three major announcements in the portable media player arena in the last few weeks (the Sansa View, iPod Touch, and Creative Zen). Does anyone else think the Zune is falling woefully behind the curve here? Which of these, if any are you coveting or planning to buy?

Are you sure it’s not because of the song selections you have on your Sansa?
