Plantronics Releases A Pair
Today, Plantronics unveiled the new Voyager 855, the Industry’s first mono-to-stereo convertible Bluetooth® headset with AudioIQ® DSP noise reduction technology for MP3 Bluetooth enabled mobile phones.
The new Plantronics Voyager™ 855 headset offers a convertible design and immersive sound experience for calls as well as listening to music on Bluetooth enabled mobile phones with stereo A2DP. The lightest stereo headset available to date, the new Voyager 855 includes intelligent headset features that offer unparalleled audio clarity.
Of course, the most intriguing feature on this latest entry to the already crowded field of Bluetooth headsets is the customizability for either mono or stereo use, the Plantronics Voyager 855 features a detachable stereo cable so consumers can tailor the wearing style to their communication and entertainment preferences. With specially designed, form-fitting earbuds, the Voyager 855 fits snugly and securely to seal out unwanted background distractions.
The Plantronics Voyager 855 Bluetooth headset features a sleek slide-to-talk boom to provide convenient call control and improved audio performance. Sliding the boom open instantly connects the caller. The extending boom also houses a voice tube to position the microphone closer to the mouth for directional voice reception, ensuring maximum voice clarity and intelligibility. When the boom slides back, the call ends and/or the user’s music selection conveniently resumes play.
Of course, if you are not interested in stereo capabilities, you can also check out the new Plantronics Voyager 815. This features many of the same capabilities as the Voyager 855, including the slide out boom microphone, without the second earpiece for stereo listening.
The new Plantronics Voyager 855 stereo Bluetooth headset (MSRP $149.95) and Plantronics Voyager 815 mono Bluetooth headset (MSRP $129.95) will be available in October 2007.
