Stupid sun.  Always eclipsing well away from wherever I am, just like it will be on September 11, 2007 at 12:44 PM GMT in South America.  What nerve.

Fortunately, the good folks at VITO Technology have recently released an update to their AstroNavigator II software.  With this pocket astronomy program, you can watch a simulation of the eclipse from wherever you are, regardless of the weather conditions, and while you’re at it, figure out what stars, constellations and planets are up there with it.

Version 1.3 offers the following new features:

  • New version supports Samsung BlackJack and Moto Q.
  • The GPS search has become much faster.
  • The application supports landscape devices.
  • The bug with distorted image on incoming calls has been fixed.
