Google GPhone "Confirmed" ???

googlephonerendering1

Hmmm – yesterday there were posts on rumors that a Google Phone, or G-Phone, would be released within two weeks, apparently originating in India.

Today, Rizzn.com says the GPhone is confirmed. They promise a lot more detail in their podcast, which is based on an interview with an un-named source of theirs at Google.

He said that the Google (applications) Suite is going to play a huge role in the usability of the GPhone, and the thought process behind it’s functionality is less about beating the iPhone and more about beating the $100 Laptop …

Among the (very) interesting tidbits revealed (if they’re accurate) in the post are:

* That part above about the Google Applications suite playing a key role

* It’s a modified Linux kernel

* There is integrated GPS and GoogleMaps

For more details, catch their podcast HERE.  I haven’t heard it yet, just saw the Show Notes page – so I’m very keen to hear more too …
