Methods for Accessing Sharepoint on a Mobile Device

Jason Langridge’s Mr. Mobile site has a great short post up detailing methods for accessing Sharepoint from a mobile device.

Direct Sharepoint Access - It still scares me that so few customers are aware of the Mobile rendered versions of Sharepoint sites in Sharepoint 2007….. if you go to any Sharepoint site and add a /m to the address (eg. sharepoint.contoso.com/m) it will provide a Mobile friendly Sharepoint site.  You can’t post documents but you can browse in a considerably lower bandwidth environment.   

Sharepoint is a very powerful platform, and once in use it quickly becomes THE essential source of information for many companies. Jason’s post is a good heads-up for those who may not have thought much yet about the ability to view Sharepoint data on the run.
