Ilium Software Contest

image

Today, I am coming dangerously close to violating one of Patrick’s cardinal unwritten rules here at JAMM…actually, it is a written rule.  Anyway, the rule is not to put two contest posts back to back.  Like most rules, this is not just a random decision, but has a variety of well thought out reasons underlying it (none of which I will discuss here).  And I am not technically in violation of this rule, since there is one post in between.

Nonetheless, like most near violations of any rule, my decision to post tonight was born of necessity.  You see, I knew that the participants in the WebIS contest would be anxiously awaiting those results.  I also knew that many of you woke up this morning, looked at the calendar and exclaimed, “Hurray!  The first Monday of the month!  Today is Ilium Day!”  Not wanting to disappoint, I knew both had to be posted today.  Thanks to Steve Laser’s uber-efficiency earlier in the day, I almost ran out of news to post between them.  So, we ended up with two contest posts extremely close together.  Patrick, I apologize. :)

Now, on to the show.  Today, of course, we celebrate the First Monday of the Month, by showering you with goodies from Ilium.  Three lucky winners will receive their choice of either eWallet, Listpro, or Newsbreak.  The only question now is, how do you choose.  Well, you will have a few days to consider that as the contest will end at:

8:00 pm (EST) on Thursday, August 9.

To enter, of course, just leave a comment on this post.  For a second chance to enter, answer this question:

What was the “Lost Feature” in eWallet 5.0?

Email your answers to doug “at” justanothermobilemonday.com.  Remember to replace the “at” with a “@”.

By entering this contest, you authorize Just Another Mobile Monday, and its representatives, to provide your personal information (such as, but not limited to your name and email address) to the sponsors of this contest should you be selected as a winner. Your personal information will not be sold by Just Another Mobile Monday, or otherwise retained for any purpose except that described herein.

I don’t want to be entered in the contest but just have a quick question.

How do you install the background pic in ewallet? Is it in options?

Thanks.

Here’s the outline given by Ilium in their blog post:
The end result is a secret feature in eWallet 5.0 and greater that you can try. This feature is available in both the Windows PC version of the software and the Pocket PC version of the software. Here is how to use it:

1. Find a .jpg image that you want to use as a background image
2. Rename the image to ControlBkg.jpg
3. Place the image in My Documents/eWallet/Graphics and Sounds
4. Quit eWallet (on a Pocket PC, you can quite by going to eWallet and then tapping CTRL then Q on the onscreen keyboard)
5. Start eWallet
