![]()
Isotope 244 once again shows that big guns and mayhem are a blast! Celebrating the release of their new Machines at War real time strategy game, we are giving away 3 isotopes of fun – your choice of Atomic Battle Dragons or Machines at War. Be sure to check out Doug’s reviews over both of these excellent programs:
- Review: Machines At War
- Review: Atomic Battle Dragons. A Little Bit of Joust, and a Whole Lotta Fun.
Thanks to Isotope 244 for sponsoring this contest!
Contest ends Sunday, July 22 at 11:59 PM (CST).

Here’s how to enter!
1) Post a comment telling me what your favorite real time strategy game is (if you don’t have one, just tell me what your favorite game is).
2) Answer this question: Is C60 an isotope? Mail answers to tjchan "at" gmail.com (replace the at with a "@").
3) Download and try out any of the above 2 programs and send me a screenshot of your trial. (Each screenshot for each program is worth 1 entry – so you can get a total of 2 entries here). Mail screenshots to tjchan "at" gmail.com (replace the at with a "@").

I’m here! I’m not too sure if I ever played a game that would be in the real time strategy category. I think my favourite would be a pick between Chuzzle, Tilelander (if only there were more levels!) I greatly enjoyed Mazera too, and maybe I’ll get Orions: Legend of Wizards before I go on holiday. Picking one is hard so I’m going to do it quickly… Mazera, since it’s been quite some time since I played Chuzzle.
Emailing you now.
Thanks to you and Isotope244 for this contest!

SPM, I think you saw my review of Orions. It is one of the best games I have played.

RTS games I know… should I list them all?
Starting with Starcraft, of course…

I’m not much of a gamer but generally prefer board game type ‘action’
On my WM6 device I’ve become quite a fan of Mastersoft’s titles but on my dekstop I play old classics like True Combat, Quake and Unreal.

Doug – I certainly read that! I’m currently in some contests so if I win a game there, I won’t get Orions since I prefer to only focus on one game at a time. Otherwise I find myself not playing the other, and that would be a shame. However I did play the trial yesterday and now your review makes more sense, and I like it a lot better than I initially thought. I currently created some folders in my Favourites center with reviews and articles from you, Werner, and others regarding Orions, Azgard Defence, Earth Day and Machines at War. So even if I don’t get/win/buy any of the games in the end at least I had a lot of fun trying the trials and reading some good articles.
@ Melvyn – glad to hear you’re enjoying Mastersoft games, Mastersoft is one of the companies that are high on my list because of the people that work there and participate in the user forums (which were much more crowded during BrainSchool beta testing
).

BTW, in the meantime, it occurred to me I don’t need the official versions as I’ve purchased Acky in January (thanks to Hal Goldstein for the PPCMag Awards 2006 CD!) and received MAW as a freebie for the betatest reports & additional suggestions in e-mail.
That is, I don’t take the chance to win these titles from other YAMM readers

The best game currently on my PPC is FreeCell. How sad is that?

Let me try my luck again – and my favourite real time strategy is/was Warcraft (I have not played it for ages;)
