Cellphone Signal Extender: Raising the Bars!

jkOnTheRun recently mentioned a cell phone reception extender that really got me interested as in my Uncle’s house I get 1 bar of Sprint and roughly 2-3 bars for AT&T. This nifty gadget lets you say Aloha! to your mobile phone reception problems. With three different models (1 for AT&T, Alltel, and Verizon, 1 for Sprint, T-Mobile, Cricket, Metro PCS, and 1 which is dualband which is a combination of the first 2 units), this signal extender works for virtually any major cell provider in the U.S.A. except for Nextel.

As jkOnTheRun says:

"Expect your one bar signal to become five in a 2,500 square foot area…"

Available from ThinkGeek.com for $249.99 – $359.99 (depending on model). This may be a small investment for those to lose their landline and go totally mobile.

Think Geek also reminds us:

You will need to have some signal (at least one bar), for the Cellphone Signal Extender to work. You can’t extend what’s not there… right?
