4th of July Celebration - Astraware Fireworks FREE!
Posted by: tjchan on Jun 28 2007 - 984 views
Just in time for the Fourth of July, our friends from "across the pond" are sending along a gift to help celebrate the United States’ Independence from…well, from them. Here is what Astraware had to say about their "gift" of fireworks:
Fireworks is a simple FREE application, showing sequences of Fireworks flying and exploding into the air. As 4th July is traditionally a time for Fireworks and celebrations in the USA, the features have been created to help our American friends highlight one of their major holidays - Independence Day! Fireworks features a selection of patriotic backgrounds including the Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore and the Stars and Stripes, and offers a choice of stirring tunes including the Star Spangled Banner and Stars and Stripes Forever!
Fireworks is available for devices running Palm OS® and Windows Mobile®. What better way to celebrate 4th July than with some Fireworks? Download your copy today - it’s available for a limited time only (through July 8!) Oh, and did we mention, it’s FREE?!

Review: Happy Lines. Keep Them Happy Or You’ll Be Finished.
Posted by: dgoldring on Jun 27 2007 - 1,047 viewsRecently, I stumbled upon a new (or at least new to me) genre of puzzle games based upon the Lines concept. These games are available both as commercial games and freeware. In fact, I featured two such games in The Arcade. Recently, Herocraft contacted me to tell me they had released their own commercial entrant to the Lines genre. I was curious to see whether a commercial version would stand out from the crowded field of free versions of this game. Would it be significantly better, in order to justify the cost? Let’s take a closer look and find out whether Happy Lines stands out in an already crowded field.

Gear Diary Reviews the Rocketfish Twister Mouse
Posted by: dgoldring on Jun 27 2007 - 1,353 views
If you have seen one portable mouse, then you have probably seen them all. Yeah, that is what I used to think until I reviewed the Mogo Mouse BT, the world’s flattest portable mouse. Now, Judie Lipsett Hughes found another new “twist” on this old tool with the Rocketfish Twister Wireless Laser Notebook Mouse. Despite some initial trepidation about the boxy shape, Judie found herself really enjoying the form factor of this mouse, including the touch scroll feature, which is something I felt was missing in the Mogo Mouse BT.
You can read Judie’s full review of the Rocketfish Twister Wireless Laser Notebook Mouse, here.
