According to Business 2.0 Magazine, there are a billion Bluetooth-enabled devices in the world — cell phones, headsets, cameras, keyboards, printers. Another 13 million of them are being sold every week.

Bluetooth v2.1 is rapidly approaching that boasts not only better battery life, but also faster and more secure authentication requiring only 1/5 of the needed steps to establish a personal area network (PAN) or piconet. To make matters more exciting, is the Bluetooth v3.0 standard that’s currently code named "Seattle" which would take Bluetooth to even higher heights with speeds that are 228 times faster!

What will the future of Bluetooth hold? Seems like it’s as blue as the sky – sky’s the limit!
