Contest: Time to Train Your Brain — The (un)Official JAMM Brain School Quiz
Wow! I was so busy "smartening up" yesterday playing Brain School, I completely dropped the ball and forgot to announce the Mastersoft Contest which was supposed to begin last night. Never fear, however, because this one is a doozy. Pay attention now, because I am going to give you all six (yes six) chances to enter this contest. The prize? Well, winners will be given a fully registered copy of Mastersoft’s latest masterpiece, Brain School. Want to learn more about this amazing game, offering 20 different mini-puzzles? Of course you do. Check out Brandon’s review here on JAMM, or mine over at Gear Diary. Already own Brain School? Well, winners can also choose from one of Mastersoft’s other games, however, we are fairly confident that once you try Brain School, you will be hooked on it. Read past the break to see how you can win!
Only three lucky entrants will win, so get your thinking caps on. Here is how to enter. For your first boring entry, leave a comment on this post. Any old comment will do. The next five entries, however, are the (un)official JAMM Brain School Trivia Contest. Download the trial version of Brain School from the Mastersoft Website, and answer these five questions. For each correct answer, you will receive one entry in the contest:
1. Which Brain School games are also sold as full standalone games by Mastersoft?
2. How many different puzzles can you access in the trial?
3. How many moves will you have to complete the first level of Twins?
4. How many questions must you correctly answer to pass the first year exam?
5. What is your favorite Brain School game so far?
Just email the answers to these question to me at doug ("at") justanothermobilemonday.com (replace the "at" with a "@". Please email your responses so you don’t give it away for anyone else. Good luck! Contest Deadline is 8:00 PM on Friday, June 8.

A challenge! Five entries on their way just as soon as I can work out this “Plastic Puzzle”. If this is “easy” I’m dreading later levels!

Glad you guys like this one.
Looking forward to all of your trivia answers.
Melvyn, I think that Plastic Puzzle may be the most difficult game in the bunch.
Enjoy! Doug

Good grief! Plastic puzzle level 1, puzzle two is absolutely painful. The wife’s having a try right now. It’s gotten to the point where I’ve taken a screenshot and cut out the pieces. AAAARGH!

Melvyn, all I can say is that you are not alone. Go to the Mastersoft Support Forum and you will see a large percentage of the people have trouble with Plastic Puzzle.

Melvynadam just pointed out to me that he cannot access level two from his trial. I looked into this and found that the latest release, which was released after I started this contest had changed the trial.
This means that question 2 has two possible answers depending on which version you downloaded and question 3 is not answerable under the latest trial.
I will work out a fair way to account for this before I post the results tomorrow. Sorry for any confusion.

How do I know if I have the version with the unanswerable puzzle three?

Hi Dion
The “question 2″ and “question 3″ Doug is talking about, were questions that had to be answered in order to win this contest. See the questions noted in the post above. When Doug said that Q 3 couldn’t be answered, he meant that Twins was part of Year 2 in Brain School, and since the trial only allows you to play Year 1, nobody could answer a question about Twins by just using the trial.
All plastic puzzle assignments are defenitely solvable!

Thanks, SPM.
You got to this one before I saw it and your answer is dead on.
