LiveScribe Fuses Paper and Pen with the Digital Life

Today we are in the digital age. Some things despite technology are still a must and cannot be truly replaced. One such item is the simple pen and paper. Even with touchscreen tablet PCs there’s just something about drawing and writing on paper. There are also those times where in a classroom, the use of a computer is forbidden due to the noise of tapping on a keyboard. LiveScribe fuses the traditional writing utensil with digital power. It is a paper-based computing platform where users can write on special "dot paper" that costs just a little more than standard paper products that allows the smartpen to then record the microdots. With these special notes, you can use "voice replay". This feature plays back audio notes at the exact position of when you were writing a certain word. It can also do language translation. The possibilities are endless. LiveScribe is slated to go live during the 4th quarter of 2007 with a price tag of less than $200. A JAVA SDK will also be made available in 2008. Well,
