AT&T’s New Mobile Backup – Backup Made Simple
![]()
Most people know the pain of having to manually re-enter all their contacts into their cellphone. It’s a painful process and AT&T has just churned out a $1.99 a month subscription plan that automatically creates backups of your phone information. According to The Boy Genius Report, AT&T Mobile Backup requires an application to be downloaded and run on the handset. This allows scheduling of automatic backups. An online interface allows the user to then add, delete, or import contacts from one’s phone or the web with changes be applied to the device.
Read more about it here. (AT&T Mobile Backup site is down at time of writing…)

Good find… and the site is now up.
Looks like a bunch of Motorola phones and some other Samsung, LG types are supported. Windows Mobile is a no go!

I guess manually entering all the numbers is kind of old story now, i have been using zyb.com for quite sometime now. But i think its a good effort by at&t.

Yeah Zyb.com I’ve heard great things about, but it doesn’t support my phone.
Windows Mobile – I guess the best thing is still just use Sprite or SPB Backup.

Zyb does support smart phones. All you have to do is to install syncML client to your phone and sync with zyb just like any phone. You can get syncML client from http://synthesis.ch
