MobiForms, a rapid application development (RAD) tool for mobile devices has just been updated to version 3.12. This release makes it fully certified with Windows Mobile and adds features such as timers, simple mail transfer protocol (SMTP) email commands as well as ability to dynamically change object attributes at runtime.

MobiForms is one interesting tool as it runs on JAVA platform and thus can be used to create applications for virtually any PDA – from Windows Mobile and Symbian, to Palm and Tablet PCs.

Recent customers include a US defence repair facility, a UK local authority housing department, a European SAP field service systems integrator, a German telemarketing company and an Australian vineyard cellar manager. According to the project manager from a UK based CCTV installer "We were attracted to MobiForms because we were able to quickly create and use the same application on just about any PDA, with no user limits – all included in a one off developer licence."

MobiForms can be purchased from the JAMM Store for $178 for a single developer’s license.
