Not just a Flash, but Silverlight

Watch out Adobe! Microsoft is here to challenge your dominance in the realm of interactive multimedia. Flash, meet Silverlight. Microsoft’s new-born that packs a powerful punch. Silverlight was birthed with the developer in mind and may be more complex to learn. However the results may be worth it. With Microsoft Expression Studio, just a couple of weeks ago, designers and developers can work together in a unified system to create compelling Silverlight presentations and applications. Silverlight can be used to beef up current AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript and XML) projects as well as stream high definition video.

I’m really excited about Silverlight as it is Google friendly. Flash on the other hand cannot be searched. It is also great to be able to use standard C# to code for Silverlight. Be sure to check out Jesse Ezell’s excellent article comparing Flash to Silverlight.
