HTC Shift to use Ultra Mobile Platform


Intel’s new Ultra Mobile Platform means everyone is digging into the new Ultra Mobile Portable Computer Platform.  Even though many consider it just a niche product, nobody can deny the appeal of an almost pocketable full blown computer with a real operating system under the hood. 

Intel’s new Ultra Mobile Platform 2007 sports the Intel A110 proc, 945 GU Express chipset and ICH7U I/O hub.  This all adds up to greater battery life for for the UMPC models.
