20 Million Win Mobile Users by 2008!


Microsoft projects that by next year, 20 million people will be using their OS in pocket pc and smartphones.  They feel the iPhone will only take 2-3% of the market while the Windows Mobile platform will reach 60-80%.  Apple feels they will sell a whopping 8 million iPhones while Microsoft is shooting for 20 million units.  Somebody is going to do some explaining in the boardroom!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Personally, I hope they both do well.  I like the idea of Apple and MS going at it on a different ballfield.  Competition is always good for the consumer.  And don’t forget Nokia, they use Linux on their successful phone line.  So what I want to know is, who wants to buy a phone without an OS?
