Free Smartphone "Notes" with ActiveSync/DirectPush Support
Posted by: Brandon Steili on Apr 28 2007 - 2,085 viewsvia jason langridge from Adam @ Here’s the Deal
(note: this works on my Treo 750 so it doesn’t appear to be limited to just WM5 Smartphone)
A former Blackberry user, I’m now running Windows Mobile Smartphone on a Blackjack. I love most things about Smartphone. But I miss the Blackberry "notes" integration with Exchange and Outlook. I used the notes feature constantly, managing all sorts of unstructured lists, and I liked being able to work on them on the desktop and know the changes would be propagated to the Blackberry and vice versa.
So I decided to write a little notes application that would sync with Exchange.
Now this is just cool. This has been a fairly big gripe for me for a long time. There’s other options out there… but none of them really integrate with Exchange very well.
Be careful here though - this IS NOT notes syncing as notes, but notes syncing as a task so you won’t find the notes in their typical area in Outlook… check out the link below for the full details. I highly recommend reading the "geeky" parts as they explain in excellent detail why things were done the way they were.

Big, Bad SplashWallet Winners
Posted by: dgoldring on Apr 28 2007 - 799 views
The Biggest, Baddest Contest we have ever sponsored here at JAMM has officially ended, and we have some winners. The following individuals have won a the entire SplashWallet Suite, a $59.95 value, including complete copies of SplashID, SplashPhoto, and SplashShopper.
This is the part where I would typically ramble on about something completely incoherent while I stall before announcing the winners. I just like to build suspense like that. In fact, now would be a great time for a commercial break. Who am I kidding, though? None of you are paying attention to this part. You are all skimming down to see if your name is listed in 12 point bold blue type. So, let’s go straight to the winners.
The winners of the SplashWallet Suite are:
Technogeek
MelvynAdam
Jack
Congratulations to the winners. Please watch your email (and your junk mail filters) for an email from Just Another Mobile Monday asking for the information we will need to get you your prizes. Thanks to everyone who participated, and a special thank you to SplashWallet for sponsoring such a big prize.
For those of you who did not win, make sure you check out the Mastersoft Sudoku contest which is ongoing until Sunday. And watch this space next week when we will be announcing a brand new JAMM contest. For those of you who complain that you have already won everything we have to give away…well, no, you haven’t. The prize vault has been completely restocked. You’ll want to be here for this one.
As a final note, one of the requirements of the contest was to make a suggestion to SplashData for an improvement to any of the programs included in the SplashWallet Suite. We received some fantastic suggestions, and I will pass all of them on to SplashWallet. Who knows, one of your suggestions could end up in the next release.

Review: SPB Full Screen Keyboard — The Search for the Perfect Input Method.
Posted by: dgoldring on Apr 27 2007 - 7,609 viewsI have been searching for some time for the ideal text and data input solution for the Pocket PC. This search has taken me through several stops, including: TypeText, Resco Keyboard (which I have not reviewed yet) PhatWare Calligrapher, external keyboards, and more. With this background in mind, I reached the latest stop on my quest: Spb Full Screen Keyboard.

The Official Palm Blog: Editor’s Note – Blog Comments
Posted by: Brandon Steili on Apr 26 2007 - 314 views
Holy Crap … Palm is acknowledging and listening to the customer!!! And they admit it!!! What the heck is going on with the world? First Dell starts listening to customer desires and now Palm too??!!! Next thing you know RIM will tell the truth about an outage. We live in amazing times my friends!
Several people have brought up topics they would like us to talk about from ChatterEmail and WiFi to "What features/functionality would you like to see in the next Palm or WinMo OS?" They haven’t fallen on deaf ears, and thank you for sharing them. We will do our best to talk about as many of the submissions as possible and we are responding with our thoughts too.
