Palm just announced their very own blog.  I’m not sure how to take that.  14 year olds have been blogging longer.  Why did Palm wait to get into the scene?  Being a latecomer makes them look worse then not blogging at all.  The world just passed them completely by and now they are announcing that they decided to get with it.  But everyone else got on the bus hours ago.  Hello?  Palm?

I shouldn’t be so hard on them.  There are some signs of life there.  The Treo has been doing well.  Not that they’re milking it too much, ala the RAZR/KRAR from Motorola.  Here’s a lesson for both companies.  You made one nice product.  You milked that product for all it was worth, and then some.  Now get back to work and create something new and fresh.  Maybe you’ll get some ideas from your blog?  How about going out into the marketplace and talking to people?  Check out your competition.  Keep it fresh.  Blogging is cool, but it’s just one tiny piece of the pie.  Of course, with blogging, you don’t have to know how to program.  Where did that Palm OS ever go, anyway?
