But the rest of the blog-o-sphere is falling all over itself to bring you.  (possibly including us)

Because Google doesn’t do enough searching for us all ready, you can now dial 1-800-GOOG-411 (1-800-466-4411). Because dialing 411 is such a giant pain in the ass that they thought making it longer would be better. See that big honkin book over there with the Yellow cover? Pick that bad-boy up and do some reading… just as many ads and you can rip the page out and take it with you. Better yet just go download Windows Live Search and forgo all external effort. Unless they buy the local 411 market out, I figure this 1-800-find-me-my-pizza-store thing will last 6 months tops.

Palm is developing it’s own OS based on Linux. No word yet on how bad its going to suck, but I’ll be willing to bet it’s not going to be pretty… note to self DO NOT BUY FIRST VERSION!!!

Quick summary of points:
New OS = Linux but not really. Until I can run nmap on it… I’m not going to be impressed.
New Products coming. But not today.
Realized removing Wifi might have been stupid.
None of the carriers seem to give a flying monkey butt since Palm is saying this will be a direct to consumer type product… Overall this big announcement was a whole bunch of crap. They may or may not have new products coming. They may or may not be phone based. They may or may not have wifi. Palm may or may not have a moron at the helm of the marketing group. What a fruking waste of perfectly good bandwidth.

Samsung is releasing the Q1 Ultra overseas. I’m just going to take a shot in the dark here and say that since nobody cared before, they are going to care even less now that it costs more. In other news Cowon is releasing (believe it when I see it) the Q5 which I hate to say it might just kick ass… assuming they ever put boots on it and send it out the door to play.

Our buddies over at SBSH have released ContactBreeze 2. But then again if you’re a fan of SBSH you already knew this already and I’m wasting your time. Move on, nothing to see here. Oh except that the upgrade is free as in speech. (If you owned 1.x) PS… SBSH makes some good stuff, I just don’t use ContactBreeze or else I’d care. But I don’t, so I won’t.  

has nearly 200,000 subscribers!!! No wonder either since they have pretty good coverage and their phone/data package prices are quite a bit cheaper than the competition (COUGH COUGH CINGULAR/VERIZON).

Microsoft pissed off some people who don’t understand specs for new PCs and spec for software requriements. Microsoft? Made someone mad? Well… atleast they didn’t make a big deal of it and made some minor changes to rectify the problem.

I think that’s it for now … I’ll keep an eye on stuff over night.
