Lookout PIE, Here Comes Deepfish!

Microsoft just unveiled Deepfish, a new type of browser that supposedly offers a more "desktop-like" browsing experience on your mobile device.  Other browsers just show you a partial view of a web page and make you scroll around to find things on the page.  You feel like you are in the forest and can’t see the whole forest, for the trees are blocking your view.

The aim of Deepfish is to give you a view of the whole forest first, so you can choose where you want to go.  When you open a web page, you’ll see the whole page.  It will appear with tiny writing.  You can then focus in on a specific area, enlarge it, read it, back out of it, refocus on different areas, all as you see fit.

The only thing that seemed to be missing was a way to open multiple tabs like in PiePlus.  Microsoft is only accepting a limited number of sign-ups to test this browser.  Download your copy now if you’re interested.  Maybe you’ll find a way to open multiple tabs.  View a video of the browser in action.
