Lookout Deepfish, here comes Minimo .2!

(with apologies to Steve Laser)

Some of you are no doubt familiar with Minimo, the miniature version of the Mozilla browser.  Created to run on your PocketPC PDA or PDA phone, it offers some of the browser functions that have endeared Mozilla to us, such as tabbed browsing, greater compatibility with non-mobile websites, RSS support, and support for Javascript.

Some of the features you will get with minimo v.2:

  • Fast access to your mobile content via Homebase start page
  • Best support for modern web standards (Javascript and AJAX).
  • Social Bookmarking
  • Tab browsing
  • RSS Support
  • Proven security (TLS, SSL3)
  • International support
  • Cross platform capability
  • Widget and Extension support

Minimo is made for Windows Mobile 5.0 and above.  For those of us still stuck with WM2003, you have to use the old .16 version.  Don’t worry, they are still improving the speed of .16 on an almost daily basis.  It was usable last time I tried it!  Just downloaded it; time to try it again.

Thanks, Solsie.com.

You can download either the desktop installer or .CAB installer for either version at Minimo’s project page.
