According to ThePlaceShift, Winamp in the last week has launched Winamp Remote, a major new feature for its media player that enables anyone with a mobile device to access their music collection and stream it from their PC. This service supports the 3GPP, Real, Windows Media, and Flash formats. The user experience is optimized based on the client device’s network abilities. Unfortunately, DRM protected files cannot be played with Winamp Remote.
