Joost Soon To Be By Invitation Only
As we have written before, Joost is the latest project from the same group of developers who brought you Skype. Instead of a telephone, however, Joost will turn your laptop into a television. Once connected (via any Internet connection), Joost allows you to watch a variety of streaming television channels.
Until now, there were two ways to join Joost. You could sign up for their Beta or receive an invitation from a current Beta user. That is about to change. According to the Joost website:
We’re reaching another big milestone this week. After months of testing with many thousands of users, we’re ready to move Joost on to the next stage of its development.
In preparation for this we’re closing down applications for the beta testing program on the website at the end of Thursday (GMT). Between this time and the public availability of Joost, access will be by invitation from beta testers only.
So this is last call to apply via the website!
The good news is, that everyone who applies before we close will get access to try out Joost within the next couple of weeks – how is that for a treat?
)
As you can might imagine, this is a very exciting moment for us. A big thank you to everyone who has helped to bring us this far – and to the rest of you, we look forward to inviting you to try out Joost for yourself very soon.
So, hurry over to Joost and sign up for the Beta while you still can. Otherwise, Joost will be by invitation only, and invitations are not easy to find these days.

Sorry, Sudhar. That article meant that Joost will require invitations, not that we have any.
We gave a few away on our sister site, http://www.thesmallpicture.com. Keep watching, maybe we will come up with another contest for one soon if we come upon any.
Oh, and I have edited your previous comment to delete the one with your email address listed.
