I actually think it's pretty cool. The thing is only supposed to look pretty and surprise people when they hear it's a phone. It won't be manufactured. It won't be sold. It was definitely not put together with the geek community in mind. They'd look at your mobile gadgetry with equal disdain. And no... I haven't been to Oakland. For starters, I don't see a visible screen. If there is one, it will probably be too small to see. Makes SMSing a pain.
