Mundu IM v4.0: Bringing More Messaging to Mobile IM

Yesterday marked the release of Mundu(TM) IM v4.0 by Geodesic. This instant messenger (IM) client is available for Palm and Smartphone, with support coming soon for Pocket PC and Symbian® Series 60 users. Mundu IM will offer interoperability with all of the most popular IM services including AIM, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, Google Talk and Jabber on a single user-friendly interface. So with so many different IM clients out there, what makes Mundu standout from the rest?

From first use, this thing is very nice. Considering I’m using the SmartPhone version for my Pocket PC, most things work and there are a few quirks again, bearing in mind I’m not using the version for my device - like if you want to IM someone you have to tap to select there name, and then open up the soft keyboard and hit "Enter". This opens the IM box. Also, for some strange reason I cannot seem to authorize anyone to allow them to add me to ICQ. As for file sending, I still can’t get that done via AIM and I haven’t tried sending files on any other service yet. But one thing’s for sure, I’m looking forward to the full fledged Pocket PC version.
You will need .NET CF 2.0 (if you don’t have this, when you run the program, Mundu will send you to its site to get the needed file).
Also for those of you have StyleTap, the Palm version of this software installs, but unfortunately StyleTap does not seem to be able to work with networks.
