SplashData Is Organized So you Don’t Have To Be — New Release SplashNotes Helps Keep Track Of All Of Your Random Thoughts.

While SplashData has long been known for organizing important records – such as passwords, photos, checking account transactions, and shopping lists – with its popular SplashWallet suite for mobile devices, the company has now set its sights much higher. With its new SplashNotes, which the company announced today, SplashData offers a software tool aimed at helping people outline and organize everything from work projects, meeting agendas and speeches to class notes and event plans.

SplashNotes is a powerful note taker, list manager, outliner and information organizer for Palm handhelds and smartphones, including Treo, Zire and Tungsten models. As with SplashData’s other programs, it comes with companion Windows software that enables users to enter their notes on a desktop computer and then synchronize the notes with a Palm handheld to take with them wherever they go.

Key features of SplashNotes include:

  • A drag-and-drop interface that makes it easy to organize your ideas into a cohesive plan
  • Automatic line-numbering, alphabetizing and bullet points
  • Sharing of outlines by email, infrared beaming or WiFi
  • Attachments of sketches and pictures
  • The ability to save commonly used outlines as templates, making it easy to begin a new note without starting from scratch
  • Nearly unlimited “Undo” capabilities, making it simple to eliminate bad ideas and simple mistakes from an outline
  • Support for importing and exporting to Microsoft Word

SplashNotes is available at the JAMM store for $29.95. This price includes both the Palm handheld application and the Windows desktop companion software.

Sounds very interesting – thanks for the heads up.

I currently use TreNotes for this task but I’m not a big fan. I miss Bonsai from my Palm days and KeyNote from my desktop. I’ll try this and report back.

Doh! That’s what comes from reading on the train – this is Palm OS only.

I’m with ya, Melvynadam. I do a lot of my posts from the train as well. :)
