Who Will Win This Year’s North American Frost and Sullivan Award for Mobile Coupon Solutions?? — CELLFIRE!!

[]

Cellfire is one of those ingenious and practical ideas that just makes so much sense that you wonder why no one ever thought of it before.  Essentially, it is a service which sends people like my wife, coupons (which she loves).  No more slicing and dicing the newspaper, these coupons are delivered direct to your phone every day with Mobile Coupon Solution.

Mobile Coupon Solutions involve sending electronic coupons to subscribers’ mobile phones. They can then be redeemed by simply showing the coupon at the retail outlet.

Newspapers and coupon books sent through the mail do not offer a direct tie between the advertiser and the person who uses the coupon

Now, Frost & Sullivan has recognized Cellfire Inc. with the Mobile Coupon Solutions equivalent of an Oscar — the 2007 North American Frost & Sullivan Award for Mobile Coupon Solutions (the NAFSAMCS??).  The Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Awards recognize companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development.  Industry analysts compare market participants and measure performance through in-depth interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research in order to identify best practices in the industry.  The award is presented to the company that has developed the most capable mobile coupon solution.

Vikrant Gandhi, an analyst with Frost and Sullivan noted the importance of this growing industry,  He stated, "Mobile coupons are a more efficient way of advertising when compared to paper coupons. Newspapers and coupon books sent through the mail do not offer a direct tie between the advertiser and the person who uses the coupon, whereas in mobile coupons, there is a direct connection between the company offering the coupon and the person who elects to use it."

As long as it doesn’t become spam, and it’s free like coupons in the newspaper, I’m all for it!

I agree, SPMWinkel. Right now you have to sign up for the service and it is (as far as I know) free. They have deals with some pretty impressive companies, too.
