A6 Times v1.2 – Podcasts Now Supported!

A6 Times, a RSS aggregator for Windows Mobile, has just got revamped. Some of the more notable features in this release are Podcast support and the ability to send news by email keep reading after the break for a full list of changes.

- Internal change: All images are now saved inside the database.
- Improved: Complete reorganization of the global options.
- Improved: Complete reorganization of the newsfeed edition screen.
- Improved: The icons bar is now bigger and easier to use.
- Improved: Big improvement of the newsfeeds refresh speed.
- Improved: Manage some newsfeeds that were problematic previously.
- Improved: Configuring proxy settings during initial configuration.
- Improved: Product activation reviewed and simplified.
- Improved: Refresh progress bar now in three parts: content, images content and medias content.
- New: Complete handling of medias objects (also called podcasts or enclosures).
- New: Medias manager.
- New: Bookmarks Manager.
- New: Option that allow control over images download.
- New: Option to control the way news are displayed.
- New: Option to control if a single click on a news title open it with the default web browser.
- New: Ability to save images seen in the newspaper.
- New: Send news by email (Windows Mobile 5.0 devices only).
- Fixed: Database compaction was not optimal.
- Fixed: Some linguistics corrections.
- Fixed: Default value for newsfeeds refresh interval fixed to 60 minutes.
- Fixed: Section Manager was reporting incorrectly the number of news.
- Fixed: Frontpage was not renewed correctly. Some news were never displayed.

Looks like some great improvements! They didn’t include the Today screen plugin that they said to be included around Christmas, but I guess that’s what happens in development world, too many things you WANT to include that it can’t all be done.
